Open during harvest, and only then
Six weeks a year the shop is open and there is fruit to buy. The rest of the year there is genuinely nothing here to see.
Opening hours
The farm shop opens only during the harvest window.
- Thursday
- 15:00–19:00
- Friday
- 15:00–19:00
- Saturday
- 09:00–18:00
Harvest runs late June – early August. Exact opening and closing dates move by a week or two each year with the season — check before travelling.
Finding us
Via delle Serre 1220080 Ambrosio (MI)
Italy
Ambrosio is a short drive from Milan. There is parking at the gate for a handful of cars. The last stretch is a farm track — passable in anything, but slow.

What to expect
A working farm in its busiest six weeks
Fruit sold by the kilo
Cut that morning, still on the panicle, in whichever of the two is ready that week. Bring a box or a bag — we do not have much packaging and would rather not use it.
Taste before you buy
There is always something open on the counter. The two cultivars are genuinely different from each other and most people arrive not knowing they have a preference.
The houses, if we are free
Not a scheduled tour, and not a promise. If it is quiet and someone can walk you through, they will. In the middle of picking, they cannot.
No café, no shop beyond the fruit
There is nowhere to eat here and nothing else to buy. Ambrosio and the surrounding villages have both, five minutes away.
Coming as a group
Groups of more than about eight need to be arranged in advance — the shop is small and during picking there is heavy traffic in and out of the yard. Schools, growers' associations and horticulture students are welcome outside the harvest window too, when there is more time to actually explain what is going on.
Buying for a restaurant or shop
Trade orders work differently: we agree quantities before the season starts, because the crop is finite and it is allocated by the time picking begins. If you want fruit for a kitchen or a counter this year, the conversation needs to happen in spring, not in July.
